NGC 2244
The Rosette
Nebula is a large gaseous region in the constellation Monceros, east of
Betelgeuse. The image shown was taken on two consecutive
nights of March 9 and 10 2005, and includes 4 hours of exposure
time. The wide field view provided by the William Optics Megrez
80 captures most of the massive nebula. This is the first image
produced by this telescope.
