NGC7000
NGC 7000, The North American
Nebula
is located near Deneb in Cygnus now visible in the east. This 90
minute exposure was taken on June 27, 2004 using the Televue Pronto
telescope. The Pronto is often used for guiding, but
because the North American Nebula is so large, the Pronto's wide field
of view
was needed to capture this large portion of it. By
comparison, the AP telescope's field of view would only about cover
'mexico'. 60 minutes were exposed using a Hydrogen Alpha
filter to better capture the faint gas cloud. The result is an
HaRGB image of 60:10:10:10 minutes.
